Autumn 2005

Filed under: Uncategorized — by jasonsuzanna @ 9:34 am

Sweet, wonderful autumn is perhaps our favorite time of year. A new school year for Suzanna included a few changes such as acquiring some light administrative duties and teaching a course called “Introduction to Computer” instead of science. With the start of her second year at The Fletcher School, she realized how utterly exhausting “learning the ropes” had been the previous year. What a relief to be a returning teacher! The same can be said for Jason as a student beginning his second year at Reformed Theological Seminary’s Charlotte campus. He enjoyed his fall classes and assisting the campus in some web design.

Suzanna has the rare privilege of working in a job that she loves and that she regards as a calling in her form of special education. Jason is working on a calling and trying to find his place of service as a Master’s student at Reformed Theological Seminary after waiting several years for the right time to attend full-time.

This fall, we became more active at Uptown Christ Covenant Church and grew tremendously through our elder-led Sunday evening fellowship group. Jason had several teaching opportunities at church this fall, and Suzanna began teaching 4-year-olds during Sunday School.

Fall for us also means cheering for our favorite football teams, on opposite sides of a 110 year rivalry: Jason for Clemson and Suzanna for the University of South Carolina. Jason was able to attend several Clemson games in Death Valley and on the road and both of us were very happy about how our teams fought this season.

As days of autumn rolled by, we have reveled in a wonderful, happy marriage, blessings of home and school and work, and many friends and family who we can celebrate the seasons with. We hope this finds you well and we hope to see many of you in 2006. If you are ever in the Charlotte area, please let us know.

  1. I enjoyed reading your annual e-letter and viewing the pictures. Presently, my family and I live in Danville, VA (approximately 2 hours away from Charlotte). My husband pastors a church here in Danville. My son, Christian is three years old, and my daughter, Alyssa is nearly two years. It is amazing how quickly time has passed!!
